“We are very excited to come back to Vegas in July 2020 for a nine-show residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino’s Zappos Theater,” “We’re looking very much forward to share some wild ‘Sin City Nights’ with all of you on the famous Strip. Let’s get ready for the Sting!”

says singer Klaus Meine.

We already published some time ago that SCORPIONS had the their new album in progress. Well, so Matthias Jabs comments that the composition process is almost complete, and will be recorded during the first part of 2020. After that, the band will take on a new world tour. Meanwhile, the band will make room for a residence in Las Vegas during July. So it seems that 2020 will be a very busy year for SCORPIONS.

“We’ve been writing some material before we went on tour, before we went on tour this summer. It’s always difficult to come up with stuff on tour. You get the inspiration, but to actually put it down, that’s a different story, when you travel every day. So we have songs — about 10, I guess — but we will have to do some more writing once this tour is over, and then prepare for the rehearsals and recordings right after our shows in New Zealand and a couple in Asia.”

Matthias said

SCORPIONS previously played a Las Vegas residency in May 2016, but it consisted of only five shows at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

German band Scorpions has been electrifying audiences since the early ‘70s with their signature hard-rocking melodic metal and power ballads. With the 2010 release of their 17th studio album Sting in the Tail, the band proved that age had far but mellowed them, kicking off another high-energy tour that has fans eagerly awaiting the chance to see them in 2014.
