DEEP PURPLE has released a new music video for the single “Throw My Bones” preview of their new album “Whoosh!”
“Throw My Bones” is the new DEEP PURPLE video, a song that hints at what will be the band’s 21st studio album. As we see below, the single is accompanied by a music video that pushes the limits of time and space. It is an invitation to step back and see the big picture, a call to action and an invitation to observe the planet and the current situation on earth.
Deep Purple’s new studio album, “Whoosh!” follows in the footsteps of his albums “inFinite” (2017) and “NOW What?!” (2013). For the third time, Deep Purple joins forces with producer Bob Ezrin and together they created the most versatile album as a result of their collaboration, “stretching in all directions,” without limitation, letting go of their creativity.
“Deep Purple are going back to being Deep in Purple” was the prank slogan in the studio after the first songs made it clear that Ezrin and Purple were on track to create an album that would push the limits of time, while expressing resentment for the current situation in the world and with a clear message to all generations.
“Whoosh is an onomatopoeic word that, when viewed through one end of a radio telescope, describes the transitory nature of humanity on Earth and from the other end, from a closer perspective, illustrates the career of Deep Purple.”
Whoosh! will be available as a limited CD + DVD Mediabook (including the 1-hour bonus “Roger Glover and Bob Ezrin in conversation” and, for the first time, the full live performance of the concert at Hellfest 2017 in video format), 2LP + DVD Edition , Limited Boxset and Digital on June 12, 2020 via earMUSIC.
The content of the Limited Box Set was revealed a few days ago. It will contain 2LP Gatefold, the CD + DVD Mediabook, three 10 ‘vinyls containing unpublished live recordings of Deep Purple’s performance in Rio 2017 ″, The inFinite Live Recordings, vol. 2 «, an exclusive shirt for collectors in deep purple, as well as three art prints.
