Bay Area Thrash/Death metal project Aramis new single ‘You Are The Enemy’, a Blistering Critique on Society’s Divisions and Leaders’ Motives

Bay Area Thrash/Death metal project Aramis Unleashes Intense New Single & Video ‘You Are The Enemy’, a Blistering Critique on Society’s Divisions and Leaders’ Motives with SODEH Records.

This is the official lyric video for “You Are The Enemy”, the second single from Aramis off of the upcoming album Crimson, out June 9th. I hope you enjoy. Aramis is a solo-artist progressive thrash/death metal project from the Bay Area, California.

Aramis has released their second single, “You Are The Enemy,” from their upcoming album Crimson, set to release on June 9th. “The song highlights the idea that leaders in our societies are causing division among people for profit rather than promoting peace. The title refers to the dangerous mindset that anyone we disagree with is no longer human, but rather a target for aggression and a scapegoat for our problems. This mindset is exploited by those in charge, keeping people occupied while they benefit. The track draws inspiration from bands like Lamb of God and features a constant energy and heavy breakdown. While it went through various versions, the original artwork from Aramis’ photography portfolio was kept, as it still represents the song’s personality to some extent.” – Nik Hayes, artist of Aramis.

About ARAMIS

Aramis is a solo-artist progressive thrash/death metal project from the Bay Area, California. Created by Nik Hayes, the sole musician behind the music – all songs are written, recorded, mixed, and mastered by him. The artwork featured on the album and single covers is taken from his portfolio of nature and landscape photography as well. Aramis takes inspiration from a number of sources, including bands such as Metallica, Gojira, Lamb of God, Death, and many more, but it is also influenced by other genres outside of metal as well.

In 2021, Aramis released its first single, Nebulous, in January; a second single, Born of Man, was released in March. Both songs would be featured on the debut album Insignificant Memories, which was released in June of the same year. Aramis would also go on to release a standalone single titled Constrictor on Halloween (October 31st). Aramis has since signed with SODEH Records and is happy to be working with them on future music releases. Aramis’s second album, Crimson, releases June 9th 2023 which features Promethean Treatment.
