David Gilmour, the legendary guitarist of Pink Floyd has published a new very personal theme song titled “Yes, I have ghosts”
David Gilmour has shared a new single called “Yeah I Got Ghosts” in what is his first new song in over five years and the wait has been worth it.
The former Pink Floyd member first revealed the song last month in the audiobook of “A Theater for Dreamers,” a new novel by his wife and collaborator, Polly Samson. However, “Yes, I have ghosts” was exclusive to Samson’s novel and as such will not be as a separate song until today, one week after the audiobook’s initial release.
“Polly’s vivid and poetic writing, coupled with her very natural narrative voice, joined forces to produce the audio version of A Theater for Dreamers a fantastic and fulfilling experience,” Gilmour said in a statement. “The audiobook format has a lot of untapped potential, and I’m amazed that more musicians haven’t creatively collaborated with audiobook authors, storytellers, and producers in this way before. The two worlds seem seamlessly binding, and music can really help bring audiobooks to life in new and unexpected ways.
