Beyond its eye-catching name, FLEDDY MELCULY presents us with an interesting and original work of extreme metal. With powerful riffs and intense vocals, their music takes us on a journey of adrenaline and darkness

We have have some exciting news to share about a kickass Belgian band that’s taking the metal scene by storm! They go by the name FLEDDY MELCULY, and their music will leave you in awe. Their name might remind you of a legendary English singer who’s no longer with us, but trust me, these guys are alive and kicking!

Although you might not have heard of them, in Belgium, they’re widely respected and admired. The band was started as a joke by their vocalist, Jeroen Camerlynck, seven years ago, but they quickly became prodigies in the music industry. They’ve released three studio albums so far and have become a must-see act at local and neighboring country festivals.

Their debut EP, “Wat de Fok?” in 2016, featured their most popular song, “T-Shirt Van Metallica,” in which they presented themselves as a band born from Lars Ulrich and Lita Ford and embarking on a mission to dominate the world after a confrontation with Dimebag Darrell’s ghost. Their music is a fusion of Hardcore and Extreme Metal, and it’s sure to blow your mind.

Their first album, “Helgië,” was released in late 2016 and was widely accepted in Belgium, even though they sang in Dutch about unfamiliar topics. They toured Belgium and the Netherlands with sold-out shows, even in places where metal shows aren’t usually held. They also participated in festivals like Pukkelpop, Graspop, Zwarte Cross, Rock Zottegem, and Crammerock, where they triumphed and gained recognition.

In 2018, they released their second album, “De Kerk van Melculy,” which received rave reviews and earned them a status that many bands in their home country would envy. The pandemic didn’t slow them down either; they released their third album, “Sabbath Fleddy Sabbath,” and the EP “And Just Niks For All” in 2021, further boosting their popularity.

Now, with their fourth full-length album, “Antichlist,” the original lineup remains the same, with Jeroen Camerlynck on vocals and guitar, Bart Govers on guitar, Tim Toegaert on guitar, Sybren Camerlynck on bass, and Levy Dedobbeleer on drums.

Despite their jokes and pranks, the band is not a joke. They take their music seriously, and it shows not only in their dark compositions and precise live performances but also in the evolution they go through with each album. FLEDDY MELCULY’s discography is full of songs that don’t follow current standards, but on this album, they use mockery and sarcasm to give their unique twist in their native language. Their serious lyrics give way to a more comedic and relaxed approach, unleashing their honest proposal with their lively rhythms.

“Antichlist” is hitting the market with the support of the Belgian record label KAMERKLINK and SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT BELGIUM, which has edited and limited their production in various-colored LPs that reflect the game “Operation” or “Doctor Nervous” on the cover. The album is also available on CD and digital platforms.

At the moment, FLEDDY MELCULY’s Extreme Metal is the best-selling, fastest-growing, and most popular in Belgium. That’s why you’ll immediately notice the excellent production and instrument mixing in “Antichlist,” especially with the bass and drums, which are finely tuned to blend the songs together perfectly.

So get ready to enjoy all fourteen tracks, starting with the intense guitar riffs and unstoppable chords of “Let’s Go,”.

As the album progresses, we can hear the band exploring different musical styles and themes, from the aggressive and fast-paced “Beest” to the more melodic and introspective “Leven na de Dood”. “Socrates” stands out as a track that combines the band’s characteristic humor with a deeper reflection on life and death.

The album also includes collaborations with other musicians, such as “Mijn Zwarte Parade” featuring Peter Van de Veire, and “Verdwalen” featuring Stefanie Callebaut of the band SX. These collaborations add an extra layer of richness and diversity to the album.

Overall, “Antichlist” is a testament to the creative and musical talent of Fleddy Melculy. It’s an album that will make you headbang, laugh, and think, all at the same time. Whether you’re a hardcore metal fan or just looking for something new and exciting to listen to, this album is definitely worth checking out.

So, if you’re looking for a band that’s not afraid to push boundaries and experiment with different genres, look no further than Fleddy Melculy. With their unique blend of humor, creativity, and musical skill, they’re sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who listens to them.
